Introduction

EdenBlocks Realms, or EBR, is an online service we’ve launched to enhance the options available to players. By connecting to your Minecraft world via EBR, It can contribute to reducing the financial pressure of server operations, ensuring the sustainable development of EdenBlocks servers. This service is currently available exclusively in China (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan). Players from other regions should await updates on this page.

Due to its similar functionality to the “Realms” feature in Minecraft, this service will hereafter be referred to as EBR. Please note that the EdenBlocks Staff does NOT imply or acknowledge that this service is equivalent to Minecraft’s built-in “Realms” feature. All interpretations are at the sole discretion of the EdenBlocks Staff.

The EBR is divided into three versions based on its nature: the Public Version, the Paid Version, and the Server Alliance. Among these, the Public and Paid Versions are available for public selection.

Please note: Through the EBR proxy service, you can only host Java Edition servers. If you wish to allow Bedrock Edition players to join the game, we recommend using a server version that includes only the vanilla gameplay for better compatibility. We suggest using Paper as the server software.

Before using this service, you must first become a player on EdenBlocks and receive whitelist approval. After that, please fill out the relevant information in the application form (provided in Chinese).

Pricing

Public Version

The Public Version does not require the server owner to pay any fees. The server owner only needs to provide computing resources. The server owner can choose to synchronize the player whitelist with the EdenBlocks main server, use their own whitelist system, or disable the whitelist.

Please note: Any risks arising from disabling the whitelist are the sole responsibility of the server owner.

When promoting the EBR service, the server owner must use the EdenBlocks title in their promotions.

This means that before promoting on public platforms (such as forums or social media like Reddit), you must first consult with the EdenBlocks management team. However, private promotions (such as in Discord chats, YouTube, or TikTok videos) do not require approval from EdenBlocks administrators.

After the server owner submits the application, they will receive guidance from EdenBlocks administrators on how to integrate the server into the EdenBlocks network. The administrators will communicate with you and assign a fixed domain name, which will follow a format similar to:happy23456.realms.go.edenblocks.org

Players can directly connect to your server using this domain name.

In the Public Version of EBR, the in-game chat is interconnected with the EdenBlocks main server. This means that players on the EdenBlocks main server can chat with members of your realm.

Please manage the chat behavior within your EBR carefully. For inappropriate language, we will issue warnings or even impose bans, which may include banning the server owner from joining EdenBlocks games.

Paid Version

The Paid Version is priced at 10 USD per month. Similarly, the server owner is responsible for the cost of computing resources. The Paid Version offers fewer restrictions: for example, you can use your own title or name in promotions without needing to consult with EdenBlocks administrators. You will need to provide an independent domain name for easier player connection to your server.

After submitting your application, you will receive guidance from EdenBlocks administrators. Please note that the administrators are responsible only for ensuring your connection to the EdenBlocks proxy gateway and are not involved in the setup of the Minecraft server itself. Any additional technical support for server setup will incur extra fees, depending on the complexity.

The Paid Version’s chat is not interconnected with EdenBlocks. Furthermore, if sensitive topics are discussed in the chat or if your server is found to be causing attacks on the network, the EdenBlocks management team will permanently suspend your service.

The Paid Version is a service-based subscription. Once the gateway connection is confirmed, the service for the month will begin, and no refunds will be provided.

Technical Information

• To connect to the EdenBlocks gateway, use OpenVPN. Please ensure that your device supports running OpenVPN before applying.
• The connection uses TUN layer-3 forwarding, with UDP as the underlying protocol.
• The server is located in Guangzhou or Hong Kong. You can connect to the EdenBlocks demo server for testing.
• Whitelist synchronization occurs within the internal network via the HTTP protocol. You can design your own script to handle the synchronization.
